and then using flatten is asking for trouble (imo) as there's the problem of the objects becoming distorted, unless they are very trivial shapes (prob have to use Intersect instead on an individual basis.) Tools | Connect won't cut multiple objects at the same time - even if they're combined - it can't cut thro' bits of the same object if 'air gaps' are involved - you have to use bridge to join the relevant bits / objects together first - in the appropriate place(s) Imo it's not as straightforward as outlined above. Have made my feelimgs / thoughts known re TC before - so no (more) comments now, other than some about FB's suggested w/f.

I do try to find ways of simplifying it as a principle so that we may find a way of achieving some concrete thing finally :-) ) Such a thing would be an extremely versatile tool for making architectural extrusions too. In fact it is a way, somehow, to make unified meshes, given that if you have such a slice (something like an Illustrator vector shape) you may extrude it for making a 3D object difficult to do by hand.

This can work as an extremely useful tool if we find, in addition, a way of extracting a single unified slice from the intersected faces which appear by the cut (said in other words, a way of producing 2D 'add' boleans). you have a cut so that you see the cut faces intersected between them. You select them, you click 'cut' and there. you want to cut both of them, using xy plane as a knife.

Let give an example: you have two spheres, in a position intersected between them. What about a plane cut by which someone could cut even a whole group of intersected objects? As we know the 'connect' tool can 'draw' a cut line only on a single object (and even then, with some difficulty in managing it).
